Golf at Country Club of Asheville

We invite you to experience golf the way it was meant to be played at our championship course. Designed by Donald Ross in 1928, and reconstructed by Richard Mandell in 2016, its bent grass greens and fairways give way to stunning views of downtown Asheville and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. This vertical track proves a formidable test with several uphill and downhill shots for golfers of all abilities to master. Sharpen your skills at the practice area featuring both putting and chipping greens as well as a 25-tee driving range. Members take advantage of our active golf calendar of club-sponsored events and tournaments throughout the year.

To improve your game beyond repetition of play, our talented golf professionals are here to help. Hosting camps and clinics throughout the year, in addition to group or private instruction, their expertise can cure just about any ail and ultimately take a few strokes off your final score. The club's SkyTrak indoor golf simulator is both an excellent teaching tool and great for competitive entertainment when golfers can't be on the course. For equipment and apparel, our fully-stocked golf shop has everything you need to play your best game in comfort and style.

Junior Golf

For the next generation, Country Club of Asheville offers a range of Junior Golf activities year-round. Spring and fall programs consist of camps and clinics, while summertime brings a more intensive learning experience in which young golfers maintain a practice and play regimen for a prize at the close of the season. Young golfers not only enjoy learning the sport but time spent with friends and family on the course.

Hole #1  |  Par 4
M/W Handicap:16

This gentle, downhill dogleg right requires longer hitters to use a 3 wood or long iron to get it in play. A downhill lie calls for a short iron shot to the elevated green.
